Woah, this guy is a bad ass.
Jason Statham doesn’t seem to take much time to breathe in between filming movies and when he isn’t working he is spending time with the ladies.
Apparently all of that dedication is paying off because according to the Mirror, the dude almost died while filming his latest installment of The Expendable series. And one famous veteran actor was there to witness it with his mouth wide open in shock.
Seen here on Aug. 5th, actors Kellan Lutz, Sylvester Stallone, Wesley Snipes, Antonio Banderas and Jason Statham attend the The Expendables 3 photo call on in Malaga, Spain. I love seeing these guys goof around. They look so at ease with one another. Kellan is looking super fine in his fitted trousers and rugged boots while Jason and Sly are both rocking the black v-neck tees. Nicely done, boys!
Sylvester Stallone told journalists at the premiere that if it weren’t for Stathom’s competition level swimming skills he would have died in a stunt gone wrong.
“He faced death. He was test-driving a three-ton truck and the brakes run out. It went down 60ft into the Black Sea and became impaled,” said Stalone, “Luckily we had taken the doors off before. If anyone else had been in that truck we would have been dead because we were all wearing heavy boots and gun belts. We would have drowned. But because Jason is an Olympic-quality diver he got out of it.”
Jason competed in the Commonwealth Games in New Zealand, similar to what Tom Daley is doing now. This was back in 1990 before he made his big break after working on Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels with director Guy Ritchie. Stalone was so impressed with this and expressed his deep level of respect.
“ Jason looks great on camera. He is a great athlete. He learned on the street and is a bad ass for real.”
