WATCH: Jason Momoa Performs the Haka With Auckland’s UFC Team

It’s not every day that a Kiwi UFC fighter gets honored by a haka from Aquaman, but that’s exactly what happened to Mark Hunt in Queensland recently.

Hunt was at the Heartbreak Conditioning gym when Jason Momoa, who plays Aquaman in the upcoming Justice League movie, performed the traditional dance alongside members of the Auckland Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Momoa, also a Game of Thrones star, has been in Queensland to shoot the upcoming Aquaman movie alongside Amber Heard and Nicole Kidman and has been training at Heartbreak where he has developed a friendship with Hunt.

Jason Momoa is looking Aquaman ready! The first trailer has debuted for writer-director Ana Lily Amirpour’s upcoming cannibal thriller The Bad Batch.

The Super Samoan is scheduled to have a fight against American heavyweight Derrick Lewis on June 11 at the Vector Arena in Auckland, which will be his first appearance in New Zealand since 2002.

Hunt watched on from in front (and later complained about his poor editing skills on Instagram) as Momoa and his troops put in a performance that even the King of the Seven Seas would be proud of.

The video and Mark Hunt’s reaction to the video is below.

My editing skills suck
