During Newsweek‘s annual Oscar roundtable, James Franco joined his fellow actors and explained to them why porn is much better than amateur sex tapes.
“As anyone who’s made a home sex tape knows, what feels best doesn’t always look best,” Franco said, amidst Natalie Portman, Michelle Williams, Annette Bening, Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth as they all discussed how to film a convincing love scene (watch the clip after the jump).
“I remember when I was 19 doing that and then watching it back and thinking, ‘God, that looks horrible,’” he recalled, cracking his colleagues up in the process…
“So yeah, you have a lot of respect for those actors in pornography. They’re not just doing it, they’re really selling it,” Franco continued. “And it’s the same way with a kiss, I think. It’s not just the kiss that feels the best. It’s an image.” And guess who is getting into porn…
Deadline.com reports that Franco is in talks to star in a film about porn legend Linda Lovelace, starring as Chuck Traynor, her one-time husband and production manager of the Lovelace porn classic, Deep Throat.
And Kate Hudson is also in talks to portray Lovelace in the film, which was just announced at last year’s Sundance Film Festival.
This James Franco kid is on a roll, isn’t he? And I thought that Lindsay Lohan got fired from some sort of Linda Lovelace biopic as well, didn’t she?
