James Franco’s Cute Mickey Mouse Shirt In Venice Doesn’t Make Up For Creepy Role In ‘Palo Alto’

James Franco hopped on to a water taxi that headed to the 70th Venice International Film Festival wearing a pretty sweet Mickey Mouse T-shirt on August 31, 2013 in Venice, Italy.

The actor-director-writer (add about 20 more credits here) premiered his adaptation of Cormack McCarthy’s novel, Child of God at the festival.

That’s cool and all but what is really raising brows is his role in the upcoming film Palo Alto.

If you’re a Franco fan, you know Palo Alto is based off his collection of short stories, Palo Alto Stories.

And if you’re a Franco fan, you know there has to be some sort of controversial buzz around the “masterpiece”.

In the trailer, Franco plays a high school soccer coach who says sweet nothings to one of his students, Emma Robertsand then starts sucking face with her.

Uhh…looks like the film might get a little twisted as the plot progresses.

Check out the trailer for yourself! Will you be catching the flick?
