Anne Hathaway appears to have an unconscious thing for men that steal shit. Adam Shulman, who hung out with his lady at Coachella on April 18, didn’t dabble in wire fraud or money laundering, but this is what you call a gateway theft.
Shulman and a friend spotted a piece of plywood from a construction site barrier on Ninth Avenue in Manhattan’s meatpacking district that was tagged with a Bansky-like Hitchcock holding a “Happy Mother’s Day” sign. Witness Frank Ross told the New York Post that Shulman showed up with his friend and a screw driver, detached the piece, and “took off like a ball of fire.” The two idiots even mugged for the camera as they carted it away. Sometimes the cards at the drug store are just plain crappy and you have to get creative.
However, yesterday Shulman did telephone Hart and apologize for taking the piece before returning the makeshift wooden canvas back to owner Ken Hart.
