Ian Somerhalder Has His Eye On A Nobel Prize
There aren’t many gentlemen that send me into a tizzy, but Ian Somerhalder’s eyes can compel me all they want. The Vampire Diaries studmuffin (and my favorite Salvatore-no offense, Stefan) headed to Zimbabwe after filming for The CW series wrapped April 18th to shoot a documentary with scientist Allen Savory.
Somerhalder told E! at Sunday’s Teen Choice Awards, “He’s figured out a way to reverse climate change, literally through agriculture. So I’m directing this documentary about him with Geoff Shotz, our camera director on Vampire Diaries…The goal of the movie is to win Allan Savory a Nobel Prize for agriculture, which has never been done.”
Somerhalder is an environmentalist above anything else and enjoys lobbying on its behalf, but he’d never get into politics. “I just love this part of it,” the former Lost star explained. “I love being able to speak to members of Congress or members of the Senate and floating on either side, because it takes all of us. It’s going to take both of them.”
