Hugh Jackman’s Sexuality Is A Geographical Issue

April 22nd, 2009 // 6 Comments

It’s Hugh! We just can’t get enough of him!

Consistently plagued with questions about his sexuality, Hugh Jackman tries to take it all in stride. The X-Men Origins: Wolverine actor told Parade magazine, “I’d be happy to go and deny it, because I’m not. But by denying it, I’m saying there is something shameful about it, and there isn’t anything shameful.” Hmm, that reminds me of something

Jackman also said that it’s usually in the United States where he finds himself being asked if he’s really gay. “The questions about sexuality I find more here in America than anywhere else, because it’s a big hang-up and defines what people think about themselves and others. It’s not a big issue in Australia.”

Aww, honey. You’re just trying to butter us up. And it’s totally working.

Hugh is obviously a top rate dad but I always find it odd he didn’t have his own kids.

The rumor out of Australia was that Hugh is the one that can’t have kids not his wife. There is an even uglier rumor out of Australia as to WHY he can’t have kids and it isn’t cause he’s impotent. I’m not going to repeat the rumor cause its pretty outrageous. (Not that he’s gay either.)

If he wants us to believe that Australia is more open minded than the US, he’s nuts. They’re practically in the stone age. They don’t comment because he’s one of their own and they don’t want to know. Not that I think it’s OK for the US public to butt into his business.

Pattycake, I am from Australia and what you said is a bit offensive. Have you ever been to Australia? Why comment on something you really don’t know much about. ‘They’re practically in the stone age’. Why don’t you look at your own country before commenting on ours. The reason we don’t ask Hugh if he’s gay is because we think he loves his wife and we have no reason to think he is. I think we’re a pretty open minded bunch but you’ll always get the few people who are against gay relationships. Unfortunately no matter where you go the gay debate can’t be avoided. I think what does it matter, it doesn’t make someone less of a person because they’re gay. But the comment he made is true. No matter what he says someone will come along and miss construe it.

Nicky, thanks for your comment. I do think that it’s not our business to interfere into someone’s life since it’s just not our live. One should think on what is going on in his or her life more than on what happens to celebrities. :) Peace!
