H&M Flatiron Building Advert Violates Codes

April 6th, 2005 // 4 Comments

It looks as if the monstrosity that is the H&M ad on the side (well on the scaffolding) of the Flatiron Building is illegally there.

The Department of Buildings issued nine violations for the illegal advertising banner recently placed on the apex of the historic Flatiron Building at Madison Square today. The violations included, sign on surface area is too large, installing advertising sign without a permit, and sign creates hazardous wind load.

Not to mention that one shouldn’t ever fuck with the Flatiron building. People, I’m calling for a boycott of H&M. You know you can do it.

I saw this last week… Hideous. No self-respecting New Yorker would buy clothes from a company that would do this to the Flatiron Building.

Yeah, it’s cheap, but the clothes are just as classless and tacky as this advertisement.

shop at Target- at least they have issace mizrahi
and other FASHIONABLE people makin cuts/accessories…god, dont try n look like the nasty olsen girls! yuck. noone should wear a butter-creme tank and a khaki skirt with fringe, all hangin to their knee…nasty.

Cheap is right. H&M’s stuff looks like shit. Save up and buy some nice clothes that will last more than a season.
