‘High School Musical 3′ Dominates The Box Office

High School Musical 3: Senior Year came out this weekend with an unsurprising lead in ticket sales. Disney’s small screen hit proved that it will have just as much popularity on the big screen, as it grabbed a cool $42 million — the best opening ever for a movie musical. The East High kids (they’re like family!) brought in $17 million opening day alone.

Saw V also managed a solid weekend bringing in $30.5 million, a number that would have taken top box office honors any other weekend this fall.
