With a little over a week until we can all pay exorbitant amounts of cash money to go drool over Henry Cavill in theaters, it seems that many are craving to know more about the man behind the lycra-clad ensemble.
Even though its seems like Cavill was bred for Hollywood royalty, the role of Superman is the British actors’ biggest break into the limelight.
Trust me, Mr. Snyder. I don’t think you have too much to worry about.
Even though this will be Cavill’s first comic book role, he’s not exactly a nobody. Before Man of Steel, he has stared in movies such as The Count of Monte Cristo, Tristan and Isolde, and the Showtime series, The Tudors. He even signed up to star in Guy Ritchie’s adaption of The Man From U.N.C.L.E, which is currently still in the pre-production phase.
“Things are full-steam ahead. It’s all very early days. But it’s gonna happen,” Cavill confessed about the movie.
In the interview with USA Today, the blue-eyed beauty also gushed about his work out regime to prepare for the Man of Steel role. Even though he was on an intense work out schedule and 5,000-calorie-a-day diet, Cavill said, “I wanted it to be me. It helped me get into character. And also because it’s my name. I wanted to provide that image (of Superman) and make it reality.”
Just so everyone knows, I am completely obsessed with Henry Cavill. He just exudes the Superman persona. Also, have you seen him? Complete swoon-fest.
