I love, love, love Helena Bonham Carter: the quirky actress can totally turn on her dark side just as easily as she can play the English rose. This fall, she’ll appear in two major roles, reprising her turn as Bellatrix LeStrange in Harry Potter and playing a younger Queen Elizabeth in The King’s Speech. The British actress was juggling the two roles during filming, much to the confusion of her children.
“My son who’s six asked me ‘Mummy are you playing a witch or a Queen tomorrow?’ and I said ‘That’s a very good point!’ I didn’t want to get mixed up, but at least I had the teeth for the witch, so I knew who I was when i had the teeth in.”
Mrs. Tim Burton was pictured during a portrait session for The King’s Speech, which centers on King George VI as he ascends the throne despite a speech impediment. Both sound pretty good to be, a little Helena weirdness can’t hurt!
