Hayden Panettiere dished on what makes her Hookedwinked Too! Hood vs Evil character so appealing to Entertainment Tonight. Panettiere plays Red Riding Hood in the sequel alongside Amy Poehler as Gretel (of Hansel and Gretel) and David Alan Grier, who all came out for the screening Saturday at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Poehler hit the nail on the head when she broke the movie down: “There’s inherent drama and a female protaganist and woods and wolves. I think that describes like 80-percent of the movies that most teenagers are into these days.”
Panettiere described her character as a “kick-butt version of Little Red Riding Hood.” She also told ET that Red is someone she can relate to, because they’re both small but very feisty. Speaking of feisty, Panettiere showed off her back tattoo, which reads “Vivere senza rimpianti” (Italian for “To live without regrets”) at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of Klitschko. Panettiere attended with her reaaaaaaaally really tall boyfriend, Wladimir Klitschko.
