Harry Replacing Harry? ‘Glee’ Star Darren Criss Supposedly Headed To Broadway

Talk about amazing things! Deadline reports a rumor that Glee star Darren Criss might be making his Broadway debut pretty soon. But really, that’s not even the exciting part! The best part is that he might be doing it in the revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying currently starring Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe.

Now, for those of you wondering why this would be so insanely awesome and symbolic, let me explain. While at the University of Michigan, Darren wrote and starred in A Very Potter Musical and A Very Potter Sequel where he played…wait for it…Harry! So, he was Harry then and he’s going to be taking over Harry’s place! He so much related to that franchise he even got to go to the world premiere. Sweet stats.

If the rumors are true, Darren will be taking over the role in January for a 3-week stint, meaning that he would only miss about an episode and a half of Glee. Apparently Ryan Murphy is super supportive of his decision to do the show, so it’s now wonder they would accommodate him in whatever way they can.

I think it’s super fun for Darren to do similar things to his theatrical alter-ego. Maybe the not the whole alcoholism thing, but everything else would be just fine. Are you excited for the possibility of Darren on Broadway? For those not in New York will you make the trek out to see him? Let us know in the comments!
