Martinis and Popcorn: ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1′ and ‘The Next Three Days’
Instead of going to tomorrow’s midnight showing, I’m going to go and take pictures of all the people dressed up as Harry Potter, because with the worldwide release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 having sold out over 3,900 midnight screenings, I assure you there will be a ton of them. Oh, and this film will be number one in the box office. As if you didn’t know.
The highly anticipated Potter film is two parts, but guarantees equal riches for the entire cast who always looks elated when together. I guess I would look elated, too, if I were rolling around in millions and gracing the covers of Vogue. Trailers and teasers only wet the appetite for the Harry Potter release, but wait no more, it’s finally here this weekend and I can remember a time before Emma Watson decided to chop off her signature locks for the Halle Berry pixie cut.
I should also tell you that Russell Crowe and Elizabeth Banks are starring in The Next Three Days, which also releases this weekend. Why? Because Russell Crowe likes a damn good fight, that’s why.
Just in case you forgot to buy your Harry Potter tickets in advanced, saw Megamind already and somehow manage to think that Chris Pine is kind of ugly and Denzel Washington is a has-been (Unstoppable), then The Next Three Days is your sure fire bet!
Sorry Crowe, but The Next Three Days – about a husband that busts his wife (Banks) out of jail after she’s convicted of murder, would’ve had a better in the box office if he had a little more Conviction.
