Gorgeous actress, Brittany Murphy would have been turning thirty-five today. Unfortunately, she passed away four years ago on December 20,2009, so she’s unable to celebrate her birthday.

As a result, we’ll be doing the celebrating for her.

Murphy was one of my favorite actresses all the way back to Clueless with Alicia Silverstone, and Riding in Cars With Boys co-starring Drew Barrymore. Her roles were always either hilarious, or similar to her own personality.

She was by far one of the bubbliest, most entertaining people to watch. It didn’t matter if she were in character for a movie, or if she was being interviewed. Out of all the actresses who were popular during the rise of her career, she was the most interesting to watch.

Dakota Fanning played the child she was a nanny for almost ten years ago in Uptown Girls. Knowing that much time has passed makes everything feel so surreal. Her death itself was unbelievable. I remember I had just heard positive news about her.

The quotes in this gallery really show off her personality in my opinion. Take a look at them and let us know what you think in the comments below!

She was staggeringly versatile, but ironically the ability to disappear into a role often runs counter to the ability to secure A list stardom. In today’s celebrity culture, actors are required more than ever to play the part of celebrity, and that was not Brittany’s forte. Her sweet and unpretentious nature is constantly mentioned both by those who worked with her, and those who met her only briefly.
