Halle Berry was filming a fight scene for her new film The Hive when she was rushed to the hospital late Tuesday night. No stranger to accidents on and off set, Berry was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles for a head injury after she reportedly slammed her head into concrete at around 10 p.m. Tuesday. Ouch!
The set shut down after Halle was taken away, but filming will continue as planned and the actress is confirmed to be all right. A spokesperson for the actress said she was treated for a minor head injury and was taken to the hospital as a precaution and has since been released.
The Hive, also starring Abigail Breslin, is a story about a kidnapping and the search for the killer. Halle plays the 911 operator while Abigail is the young girl who is kidnapped. They have to work together to save the abducted girl in a race against time.

This is not the superstar’s first hospitalization while on set. Halle damaged her eye in a similar situation when she was filming the James Bond action movie Die Another Day. She broke her arm while filming Gothika and broke her foot in between shoots for the movie adaptation of David Nicholls’ book Cloud Atlas. Last but not least, she had injured her head previously when she smashed her head into some lights during a night shoot for Catwoman.
Either this 45 year-old is one hell of an actress who gives every shot her all or she needs to calm down a bit and observe her surroundings before shooting begins. Okay so it is confirmed Halle is a stellar actress (she is an Academy Award winner after all) so were just going to have to give her props for going hard. Just be careful Halle, one of these times you’re not going to be so lucky!
