In Gwyneth Paltrow’s recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar magazine, she talked about a number of things: cellulite, being pregnant and her life in general. Of course, the most annoying parts of the interview are when she’s comparing the United States to her adopted home of England:
“People think it’s strange that I want to live here. But London is where my husband lives and works. There are parks everywhere and lots of places to walk. It’s not has hectic as New York and not as vapid as Los Angeles.” She also compared her American friends to her British ones, whom she seems to prefer over the Yanks: “They’re intelligent and they’re not looking over my shoulder at dinner to see if there’s anyone better walking in.”
I enjoy the fact that the only cities in the United States that Gwyneth seems to believe exist are Los Angeles and New York. I wonder if she’s got any really good insights into the cultural differences between different races and other ethnicities. If they’re half as enlightened as the views we’ve already heard from her, she’s basically a couple of vodkas away from a Mel Gibson-type episode.
