Gwyneth Paltrow Supports ‘The Conversation’ At DVF Studio [PHOTOS]
This is one party I would lurrrrrve to be invited to. Gwyneth Paltrow, Rita Wilson and Diane Kruger were a few famous faces to celebrate last night’s launch of Lifetime’s television series, The Conversation, hosted by Amanda de Cadenet.
A gaggle of beauties (all or most of whom are in town for tonight’s MET Costume Institute Ball) gathered at the DVF studio in Manhattan for the program, which has already seen Lady Gaga talk about her teenage cocaine habit and Zoe Saldana reveal her favorite sex position.
Paltrow, wearing DVF with a sheer front panel, talked about her father’s death in the series and last night met up with her old pal, Cadenet. “Amanda and I are old friends. We met probably like in 1993 and stayed in touch,” Paltrow told USA Today. “In the last 10 years, we became really close friends.”
Cadenet is the perfect host for the series, because she remembers key elements when interviewing her subjects. “You just have to listen, be interested, and not talk over people.”
Note to anyone who hopes to speak with Paltrow in the future. Asked what questions irk her, Paltrow said, “I can’t think of a specific question, but I guess it’s when people haven’t done their homework,” she says. “And when they’re asking you very obvious things.”
Also on the red carpet: Diane von Furstenberg, Donna Karan, Arianna Huffington, Malin Akerman, Christian Louboutin, Wendi Murdoch, Gayle King, Tara Subkoff, Coco Rocha, Rashida Jones, and Giovanna Battaglia.
