The stars were out last night as they lined the red carpet for the 3rd Annual Stand Up To Cancer telethon.
The event, which took place on Friday (September 7) at LA’s Shrine Auditorium, was a who’s who of Hollywood and everyone was there for a good cause. Gwyneth Paltrow, who lost her father Bruce Paltrow to cancer, was the executive producer for the event and told reporters, “I definitely feel his presence, and I think he would be really happy that I’m here tonight doing this and trying to spare other people from what he went through.”
The night also included performances from Taylor Swift, Alicia Keys, Coldplay and Tim McGraw. Taylor made sure everybody cried as she sang a song about a 3-year-old who lost her life to cancer. Somebody get me a tissue. Stat! Which other stars made to sure to support the event?
Modern Family stars Sofia Vergara and Ty Burrell were there. Sofia flaunted her engagement and her fabulous smile on the red carpet. Some people clearly missed the point of the event and instead used it to show off their asses–I’m looking at you, Mayra Veronica.
Minka Kelly also made an appearance. The star, who lost her mother to colon cancer, told us why she’s standing up to cancer on Twitter.
