Va va voom!
With a very dramatic photo by Terry Richardson, Gwyneth Paltrow covers the newly redesigned Harper’s Bazaar March 2012 issue. If not for the small tagline written next to her, “Gwyneth Revealed,” you might not know it was her.
The cover features a leggy blonde, wearing a skin-baring, long black dress from relatively new designer Anthony Vaccarello. Her long, wavy hair is covering her face.
“It’s Gwyneth Paltrow,” Bailey proclaimed. “It’s a very daring thing to do, where you don’t immediately see her face.” Bailey added, “As you know, I was the first to develop this two-cover approach.” To it seems that the cover that will be on the newsstands will feature Gwyneth’s face, subscribers will receive this cover.
Glenda Bailey, editor-in-chief, gave Women’s Wear Daily a sneak peek, explaining some of the recurring features and the streamlined look of the revamped mag. We haven’t gotten a look inside yet (“The team hasn’t even got a copy yet,” Bailey told WWD) but we have to say we are in love with the cover.
Less is definitely more. I love it!
