Gwyneth Paltrow: ‘I’ve f**ked up so many relationships’
At least she’s being honest.
The actress, who “consciously uncoupled” from Coldplay’s Chris Martin in 2014, opened up about her love life in an interview with the Girlboss podcast, saying: “Oh my God, I’ve fucked up so many relationships.”
“I’m a pretty good friend and sister and daughter, but I am at my potentially most vulnerable and fucked up in the romantic slice of the pie.”
Paltrow pointed out that she has worked hard to become a better partner, and has been dating Falchuk for two years. But it isn’t hard to relate to her struggles as a strong and supportive significant other.
“Success to me is relationships that function really well,” she said. “Where there is a beautiful feedback loop between people. I think without relationships of quality, you are not a successful person. So, if you don’t have a good relationship with your partner, your children, your best friends, then it’s really hard to claim success.”
The lifestyle guru added that building good, healthy relationships — what she calls “relationships of quality” — is of utmost importance to her. In fact, she measures her success by the quality of her relationships.
“So if you don’t have a good relationship with your partner, your children, your best friends, then I think it’s very hard to claim success,” she said. “It makes life feel full and rich and happy. Like, the quality of your relationships dictate so much how your life feels, so for me that’s the number one.”
