You’ve been faithful since the very beginning, and took copious notes when Gossip Girl veered in a different direction from the books that made it famous.
WTF? Where did Eric van der Woodsen go? And why is Serena van der Wooden so nice?
Would Lilly mind acting like an adult, if only for one episode?
All was revealed in last night’s series finale.
Dan Humphrey was revealed as the face behind that sh*t-stirring blog. Humphrey!!!!
I wasn’t born into this world, maybe I could write myself into it,” Humphrey said. ”And when Serena came back from boarding school, I wrote my first post about me. Lonely boy, the outsider. The underdog. I might’ve been a joke, but at least people were talking about me.”
GG’s executive producer Stephanie Savage told E! (via Huffington Post) that the big reveal wasn’t set in stone from the beginning.
“When you’re thinking about a finale, you go back to the pilot, you think about everybody’s series arcs and think what is the premise of the show? In this case, ‘Who is Gossip Girl?’ is a big part of the show. We had a thought in the back of our minds who Gossip Girl was, but we were never sure if we were going to reveal that. Was it something the audience wanted to know, or would they rather not know? We kept it very open. Then last year, we did a lot of storytelling with Gossip Girl and it felt right that this year, she would be revealed.”
What do you guys think? Were you shocked about the reveal? Do tell! Do tell!
