'Glee' Covers 'Call Me Maybe'

The wait is finally almost over, Gleeks! Tonight Glee will be returning for it’s fourth season. We were left knowing quite a few changes would be occurring in this season. Rachel is in New York City alone, trying to figure out where she belongs in the world. “Roots Before Branches” fits her now better than ever if you ask me. But what’s next for everyone left in Ohio? They all wanted to escape the mundanity of their town, but it appears only Rachel was successful.

But what about Quinn? Wasn’t she supposed to go to Yale? Fans have been noticing the lack of Dianna Agron publicity in promotional photos and videos. We’ve been able to see plenty of clips of Kate Hudson, who plays Cassandra July, but none of many previous season regulars. Co-creator Ryan Murphy has said on a few occasions that he wants everyone to return, but is it actually happening? And what songs can we look forward to this season?

As you can see from the video, one song from the season four premiere is Carly Rae Jepsen‘s “Call Me Maybe”. This song has been getting so much attention since its release. Some would even refer to it as “overexposed.” Unique’s sassiness before the song starts is amazing! I hope we see quite a bit of him this season.

I can’t get over how gorgeous Jenna Ushkowitz looks! Will she be the Glee Clubs new “Rachel?” After the “Flashdance” performance with Lea Michele in season three, I really wouldn’t be surprised. As for Brittany singing this song…does she even know her own number?

Other songs featured in this episode include “Never Say Never” by The Fray, “It’s Time” by Imagine Dragons, and an “Americano/Dance Again” mash-up featuring songs by Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez. I’ve been listening to “It’s Time” repeatedly since I first heard their cover. It has got to be my favorite song so far. Kate Hudson’s awesome performance of “Americano/Dance Again” is definitely a close second. Interested in seeing her first dance number? Watch the video below!

And there it is, season four’s preview! What new characters and songs are you most excited for?
