HRH Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge wore the “Cecile” navy lace dress by Montreal-born designer Erdem Moralioglu on June 30th, 2011- the first day of her Canadian tour with husband Prince William, The Duke of Cambridge.
On Sunday night (January 8th), Catherine wore another lace confection, this time by Alice Temperley. The floor-length gown boasted a neckline like that of her wedding gown, but also echoed the flattering design of Erdem’s Pre-Spring 2011 piece.
Alexia Admor has created a more affordable version of the Erdem frock called the “Lace Overlay,” retailing for only $158 at Nordstrom. Though the Duchess is famous for mixing high-end with the affordable, this is a quick way to look as chic as Her Royal Highness without breaking the bank.
What Kate Wore was able to find a lace dress by Temperley, on sale for $395.00 on YOOX.com! Though it’s not a floor-length number like the one Catherine wore to the War Horse UK Premiere Sunday, it’s still a gorgeous piece by one of the future queen’s favorite designers.
