Gerard Butler Sings With John Mayer

Scottish actor Gerard Butler celebrated his 41st birthday in the most random way possible – singing “Mustang Sally” with John Mayer.

The star took over The Darby restaurant on Saturday night and celeb guests and pals included Adrien Brody, Kate Hudson, Bono and Jay-Z. Butler joined the dinner club’s ‘mistress of ceremonies,’ who said, “Some of you know him as Gerry, other as Gerard. I know him as Mistress Butler.”

Mee-oww. Butler was spotted earlier in the month at a screening of The Next Three Days in New York.

A friend roasted Butler, adding that Butler and Jennifer Aniston had “as much sexual chemistry as Regis and Kelly” in their film The Bounty Hunter. So true.

It seems that Butler also sang the Oasis song “Wonerwall” before he and Mayer went into “Mustang Sally.” A few spies said that he had a pretty good voice and then he got into the DJ booth, spinning a bunch of rock, ’80s and funk music.

Sounds like the most random birthday party ever.
