I’m not sure if I landed that metaphor properly in the title, but what I was trying to say is that awards season has officially kicked off, with George Clooney and Casey Affleck winning the first prizes of the season from the National Board of Review. Clooney’s performance in “Michael Clayton,” earned him his award of best actor, and Casey Affleck was recognized for his portrayal of his character in “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford,” in which he starred opposite George’s buddy, Brad Pitt. The beginning of the awards season always makes me so nervous cause it’s so many awards and outfits to keep track of. That’s a lot of fashion to criticize, people! And I’m only one woman!
