George Clooney Makes a Difference

April 8th, 2008 // 2 Comments

While Geroge Clooney was in London promoting his new flick ‘Leatherheads,’ he found time between partying with the ladies and the movie’s premiere to meet with Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

During the visit, Clooney pleaded for help for Sudan, a cause he has worked on for quite a while. In January, Clooney was named a UN “messenger of peace” for his advocacy on the issues in the Darfur region.

The Prime Minister promised support to help Sudan after meeting with George, and will work on funding for Helicopters to help mobilize aid already in the area.

It’s good to see such high profile celebrities truly using their fame to make a big difference, rather than just talking about it for once!

And no wonder George dates such a young, wild woman. He managed to make this meeting after partying until 3:30am the morning before!
