There’s no denying the fact that award shows are fun to watch. And man are they made even more fun when they’re hosted by BAFTA, like the the 2013 BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia awards.

It was an awesome mix of all your favorite celebrities–both from the states and across the pond–getting together, looking fabulous, and honoring each other with awards.

The big honoree of the night was George Clooney, who was presented by pal Julia Roberts with the Stanley Kubrick Britannia Award for Excellence in Film.

Julia didn’t miss the opportunity to poke fun at her friend. “There are two obvious reasons why I was chosen to do this,” she told the crowd. “One, Brad Pitt was out of town. Two, Matt Damon, he’s in town but he was unavailable.” Oh, A-list banter. There’s nothing like it.

Speaking of A-list, hello Benedict Cumberbatch. The Sherlock actor received the Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year, which totally makes sense. That Benedict, he’s so hot right now. Know who else is hot? Salma Hayek. Especially when she wears sequined and really, really low cut dresses.

Launch the gallery to check out even more stars at this weekend’s event. It was basically a who’s who of everyone I love. Also! Karen Gillan‘s hair is growing again! Also also, Suki Waterhouse‘s dress was awful. I almost prefer her in the park reading Lolita.
