George Clooney premiered his political drama, The Ides Of March at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Samuel Goldwyn Theatre last night (September 27th) in Beverly Hills. The film has enjoyed two international premieres already – first at the Venice Film Festival, and then again at the Toronto International Film Festival – but now it was time to bring Clooney’s project back on US soil (which is fitting, given that the movie is about politics in America).
Clooney, who wrote, directed and starred in the film, was joined on the red carpet by Evan Rachel Wood, Marisa Tomei, girlfriend Stacy Keibler, and Ryan Gosling, who did not disappoint by wearing a quirky dark green suit. Not David-Arquette-quirky, but ironic-quirky. You’re so cute, Gosling.
Before starting the movie (which was decent), Clooney got up onstage to introduce his project and even made a few jokes about co-star Gosling and producer Jerry Weintraub. Are you looking forward to The Ides Of March? Let us know by tweeting us at @socialitelife or posting to our Facebook page.
