Former ‘RHONJ’ Star Danielle Staub Walks Away From Stripping
“I have addictions with love and low self-esteem, and I need help!” Danielle Staub tells People Magazine. After provocative pictures of her appeared on ScoresLive.com, the site belonging to New York strip club Scores, Staub decided it was time to wave the white flag. Last year the former Real Housewives Of New Jersey star signed a three-year deal with the strip club, which included a live appearance and the occasional peek-a-boo on ScoresLive.com. According to E!, Scores took liberties with the deal and recently posted topless photos of the troubled reality star.
Staub claims she was “coaxed” into the deal by her people and has decided to “walk away” from stripping to seek treatment for her issues. She explained to People,
“My low self-esteem, derived from childhood sexual abuse, has messed with my mind and self-worth, and over the years I thought about getting help but pushed it deep into the depths of denial,” Staub told the magazine. “For years I have had the suicide hotline on my cell phone and would like nothing more than to free myself from this constant pressure.
“Seeing how I have hurt myself and my family this time, I can no longer push it behind me.”
Staub will appear this fall on the VH1 reality series, Famous Food alongside fellow broken souls Heidi Montag, Jake Pavelka and Ashley Dupre. The Z-Listers are charged with opening a West Hollywood restaurant, from picking a location to building the menu. Staub appeared at the opening of Lemon Basket restaurant in West Hollywood May 11th.
