Whoa! I didn’t know that there were others besides Nicole Scherzinger, but looks like another former Pussycat is making it big on her own. Jessica Sutta’s debut single, “Show Me” reached No. 1 on the Dance/Club Play Songs chart this week and has even come ahead by just one spot of Scherzinger’s hit “Don’t Hold Your Breath.” I don’t think Nicole really cares much since she also has a gig hosting the The X-Factor and hopefully she would be happy for her former bandmate’s success.
“Show Me” will be serviced to top 40 radio at the end of the month, with Jessica’s eventual album, titled “Sutta Pop,” to follow. Her debut LP will include the No.1 hit as well as “Cry Wolf,” a “collaboration with Swedish producer Harry Sommerdahl but will also feature tracks ‘R&B and pop territory’. How does Sutta feel about her success so far?
When the record went No. 1, I kind of had to stop for a second. I didn’t even know what to say,” Sutta tells Billboard.com. “The transitions are sometimes very hard, but it’s so worth it in the end because the hard work always pays off. I’m really grateful, and I’m working as hard as I possibly can because that’s how bad I want it.”
Sutta showed off her amazing body while she enjoyed the beach in Miami this yesterday, November 16, 2011, wearing a strapless magenta bikini.
