The princess of darkness Kelly Osbourne has transformed herself from a teenage punk, to a style maven that defines the term glam-rock. It’s easy to forget the many fashion crimes she committed on her long journey to self-discovery. Let’s take a look at Kelly’s total transformation from her awkward punk years to finally nailing down her personal style – including that trademark lavender hair
THE ORIGINAL LOOK: Kelly surfaced onto the fashion scene when she performed at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival back in April 2008. Kelly wore a short houndstooth sequined dress. Osbourne paired the fun patterned dress with a leather jacket and a bold red lip. Once the singer took to the stage, it was hard not to notice Kelly’s ghostly pale skin. Note to Kelly, you should never be the exact shade of white as your dress. Ever! The overall ensemble just left Kelly looking like a teenage vampire, in the most non-chic kind of way.
THE LATEST LOOK: Kelly Osbourne’s latest look was complete 60′s mod at the E! 2013 Upfront event. Kelly slipped into a button-down shift dress, staying true to her offbeat style, Kelly worked in fun retro detail with the dress’ pleated skirt and ruffled white collar. Standing chic in chunky white platform heels, she tasseled her purple locks into a structured beehive. Kelly added a soft rock ‘n’ roll flair with a thin silver spiked headband that added just the right amount of edge to her look.
Kelly is now one of the biggest fashionistas in Hollywood. Osbourne is never one to shy away from unusual wardrobe combinations and often surprises us all with her quirky sense of style. My favorite look was when Kelly attended the 64th Emmy Awards, the daring style maven pulled off yet another unique look – matching her lilac hair with a satin eggplant gown by Zac Posen. The custom made gown suited her perfectly, Kelly looked in her element as she posed for photographers with her Judith Leiber clutch. Her Stuart Weitzman heels were swept hidden underneath her floor length gown. Kelly added embellishments from Martin Katz exquisite jewelry line, and her lilac hair was tied neatly into a delicate ponytail. Kelly opted for a soft cat eye and a bold burgundy lip with her makeup. The entire look was immaculate, and proved her to be every inch of a fashion icon.
