Holy cow. In a dress that will definitely DEFINITELY win her Best Dressed Of 2011, Emma Watson arrived at the world premiere of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows-Part 2 in London’s Trafalgar Square today. Nothing else about Watson’s look mattered – not the hair, not the makeup, not the jewelry – because all eyes were on her Oscar de la Renta dress, a dreamy design that will overshadow every other red carpet look this year. You can quote me on that.
The embroidered bodice gives way to a layers of poofy powder blue tulle that makes you stop and stare. It might be one of the most gorgeous dresses I’ve ever seen. Where was Mr. de la Renta hiding this number when A-Listers were picking our their Costume Institute Gala frocks? This dress is insane, and I must find an accurate knock-off immediately.
Oh yes, other people showed up at the premiere, but they might as well have worn OnePieces. Rupert Grint, who’s alligator-print blazer was painful to look at, can’t believe the franchise has wrapped. He told the BBC, “These last few months I’ve been in a bit of denial, I think, accepting the fact that it really is over. When I saw the posters in capital letters, “It all ends”, it really does imprint that on the mind. I will miss this. It’s been amazing.”
What’s a Harry Potter premiere without Daniel Radcliffe? And doesn’t he look dapper in his Simon Spurr three-piece suit? other HP stars and celebs showed up for the grand send-off including Evanna Lynch, a tanned Tom Felton, Clemence Poesy, Jim Broadbent, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Jason Isaacs, Matt Lewis, Michael Gambon, Damian Lewis, Julie Walters, Bonnie Wright, Robbie Coltrane, Natalia Tena, and Helen McCrory.
