Leave it to Emma Watson to make a Canadian tuxedo look gorgeous.

The actress was working the outfit for the April cover of ELLE Magazine and oh my goodness, does she look gorgeous. The cover definitely looks like a funky throwback, and the photo shoot inside the magazine is even more stunning.

You know the best thing about Emma? That not only is she beautiful and talented, but she’s also incredibly smart and self-aware–and that definitely shined through in her interview.

I mean, would you have been able to understand stuff like this when you were a young kid?

“I remember reading this thing that Elizabeth Taylor wrote. She had her first kiss in character. On a movie set. It really struck me. I don’t know how or why, but I had this sense that if I wasn’t really careful, that could be me: that my first kiss could be in somebody else’s clothes. And my experiences could all belong to someone else.”

Like, how do you have the ability to understand at a young age that that first kiss isn’t yours? In her case, it would have been Hermione Granger’s. Speaking of the Granger, Emma expressed her jealousy of other actresses who don’t come with childhood acting baggage.

“There are all these actresses who have emerged in the last year or two, and they get to emerge as this complete human being. And I’m so jealous!” Luckily Emma is doing her best to show us that she’s a complete human, and that’ll definitely hit us more with her role in the biblical epic, Noah.

Emma, you will always be a complete human to me. And a lovely one at that. Check out the April issue of ELLE for the full interview with Emma, and don’t forget to check out the gallery with her photo shoot.
