The Chanel Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2011/2012 show drew all sorts of pretty people, including Baptiste Giabiconi, Elle Fanning, Alexa Chung, Milla Jovovich, Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson. After all, what is Paris Fashion Week without Karl Lagerfeld‘s divine collection full of black, white and quilted wonder? Held at Grand Palais, which was done over to resemble Place Vendome, the glittering show paid tribute to the late Coco Chanel.
The Daily Mail reported that Lagerfeld’s latest collection for the label “delivered yet another fresh take, with heavily-textured boucle, ombre-dipped skirts and decadent layers of rosettes,” adding that some pieces showcased “Unexpected – and delightful – flashes of fuchsia pink lifted the monochrome, while the lightest of dusty blue fabrics were heavy with intricate silver embellishment.”
A doe-eyed Fanning sat front row next to photographer Mario Testino and Charlotte Casiraghi, who all sat mesmerized as model and model walked by in some of the week’s best designs.
