Newly crowned indie darling Elizabeth Olsen wore a black Alexander McQueen frock with gold detailing at the waist to the 49th annual New York Film Festival presentation of Martha Marcy May Marlene at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center last night (October 11th) in New York City. Joined by Chace Crawford and co-star Hugh Dancy, Olsen is getting used to being in the spotlight.
Sean Durkin, the film’s director and screenwriter, told the New York Times that “Lizzie read the first scene and, immediately, there was something different happening,” adding, “She could convey a lot without doing anything. There was so much going on behind her eyes.”
I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of Olsen during awards season, as the flick has been picking up steam since last winter’s Sundance Film Festival.
