Elizabeth Banks Goes Country Casual At The Breeder’s Cup World Championship [PHOTOS]

Royal Ascot 2012
Day 1 shows a strong headwear turnout!
There’s nothing better than a horse race, and when you combine that with fascinators and purple carpet, things get real fancy real fast.

The Breeder’s Cup, presented by GREY GOOSE vodka, took place at Santa Anita Park yesterday (November 3rd) just outside Los Angeles.  Race ambassador Elizabeth Banks spoke to a few reporters before heading inside to the Trophy Lounge, where VIP guests sipped Grey Goose signature cocktails and had a front row seat to the racing action.

Jerry O’Connell studied each race carefully, looking quite smart in a suit, and PartnersDavid Krumholtz was gracious enough to take photos with fans.

There was a pretty solid showing of fascinators at the races, though most celebrities skipped the traditional look (one is not pleased with that decision).  However, other racegoers really pulled out the stops and made me think that Kate Middleton really is having an effect stateside.

Milliner Christine A. Moore showcased her gorgeous designs at the races, and those who did gussy up their heads were eligible to win a $5000 Westfield Mall gift certificate.
