Ed Hardy Vomits Up Some More Clothes

October 14th, 2008 // 3 Comments

God, I hate this trashy, trendy crap. Ed Hardy designer Christian Audigier talked about his inspiration for his “Street Fame” show with the L.A. Times. “This collection was inspired by the street, by the famous people I know–the colors, the bling.”

From the look of the atrocious, generic pieces that came trouncing down the runway, the “street” people with whom Augidier consulted for his fashions clearly include the guy who combed through my dumpster outside my last Hollywood apartment cause this garish trash is FUG.

If these pictures aren’t enough to prove my point, how about the picture of Christian flashing crossed-arm peace signs? Boyeeeeee!

Ugh! His stuff is horrible. It’s painful. The only jerk-faces you see wearing his crap in the city are guys from jersey who wax their arms and pluck their eyebrows and their girlfriends.

i kinda like the two piece bathing suit in the fourth pic. other than that: it’s just way too much. you can’t tattoo everything you wear or you’ll end up looking worse than amy winehouse. he should design some decent stuff as well to make his ed hardy pieces stick out in a good way… design is all about contrast and less is always more. knowing when you’re done and then NOT messing with your work anymore is the key.
christian audigier doesn’t seem to know. but why would he care. ppl buy his stuff anyway because it’s freaking expensive (then it MUST be good, right?!)

on a side note: the black guy in the second pic is really hot.

Ed Hardy is so played out just like Von Dutch, which by the way, Christian Audigay also made. In about a few more months, no one will be caught dead wearing this washed out brand and the only place that you’ll find them will be at the bargain bin at Marshall’s or Ross.
