Los Angeles is bursting with excitement now that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are in town. At the Venture Capital New Media Summit – held at the Beverly Hilton – Prince William and a radiant Catherine spoke with industry insiders including Brian Gott, Variety‘s publisher.
Gott told the Daily Mail that director Brett Ratner got to speak with William and that both men were blown away with how nice the future king was. “The prince told Brett that he enjoyed his movies Rush Hour and Silence of the Lambs. He was very knowledgeable and made us all feel very relaxed. Kate apologised for having slightly clammy hands, she seemed a little nervous,” Gott said. William was very relaxed, he poured his own drink, apple juice, and extended his hand to everyone he met. They weren’t in any hurry to get away. They were totally charming. I’ve met every star in the world but these are the two most genuine down to earth people I’ve ever met.’
After the summit, Wills and Kate attended a garden reception in the British Consulate-General’s Hancock Park home with pal David Beckham. After British ambassador Sir Nigel Elton Sheinwald made an introduction, Kate mingled with guests in a green Diane Von Furstenberg “Maja” dress. Kate, m’dear. We love you to pieces, which is why we say this with love: Eat something, for cri**sakes.
