Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge joined Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, Prince Charles, Prince of Wales, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and Queen Elizabeth II to meet members of the media during a reception to mark next year’s Diamond Jubilee at Buckingham Palace tonight (November 28th) in London. A sort of “getting to know if you” for Her Majesty and and the other senior royals, if you will.
Catherine wore a full pleated shirt dress in bright cabbage peace & love jacquard by Mulberry ($2200), which some thought was a subliminal message to the press: “Play nice with us royals and we’ll return the favor come next June.” Per some tweets from inside the palace this evening, Catherine nailed yet another royal engagement.
SOCIALITE LIFE found a dream team full of top notch Kate Middleton fans on Twitter, where I was able to read up on Catherine’s green Mulberry dress via Kate’s Wardrobe. When the Daily Express‘s Richard Palmer described Her Royal Highness’s dress from inside the reception, What Kate Wore was able to track it down within a matter of minutes.
Palmer tweeted of the reception, “I spoke to a couple of journos who met Kate for the first time tonight and the verdict was “lovely, so down to earth, very talkative.” Royal photographer Mark Stewart tweeted, “What a wonderful evening at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Reception, With great company.”
