Duchess Catherine Arrives At Gary Barlow’s Concert For The Prince’s Trust [PHOTOS]

In their first join appearance together Their Royal Highnesses, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Charles, Prince Of Wales and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall attended Gary Barlow’s concert at the Royal Albert Hall tonight (December 6th) in London.

Catherine wore Zara’s “Lace Tulip” dress in black and white and a blazer by Ralph Lauren, per my friends on twitter.  Naturally, the legs went on forever in black tights.  That’s the thing about England’s fair Duchess: One moment she’s in a custom-made Alexander McQueen, the next it’s an inexpensive item off the rack.  She’s our kind of lady.

Barlow, a member of Take That and one of UK X-Factor’s judges, helped to raise funds for The Prince’s Trust and The Foundation Of Prince William And Prince Harry.  Money from this evening’s event will go to UK City Riots Appeal, helping disadvantaged youths from riot-torn areas to rebuild their lives and communities.

The Daily Express’s royal reporter, Richard Palmer tweeted, “The royal party are attending a concert by Gary Barlow and friends to raise cash for the Prince’s Trust and William and Harry’s foundation.”  Palmer later confirmed who the Duchess was wearing.

The BBC reports that Barlow chatted with the royal family before taking the stage.  Barlow said to William (who was sitting in the royal box), “I hope you enjoy tonight and I hope it’s not too loud.”  William replied  jovially, “The louder the better, the louder the better.”

People Magazine’s Simon Perry tweeted from inside the venue, “Huge cheers as William and kate take their seats in the royal box.”

In other news, CNN’s Max Foster reports that Queen Elizabeth II will be on a pay freeze until the British economy picks up.  Budgets for palace maintenance is on hold, but Her Majesty and Prince Charles will be funding any refurbishments needed and staff for William and Catherine.  Foster also tweeted about tonight’s event, “Should have up-close video of arrival, the royal box, the gig and the couples mingling afterwards.”
