‘Downton Abbey’ Takes Manhattan, Feted By Ralph Lauren [PHOTOS]
Last night, Ralph Lauren and Vanity Fair’s Graydon Carter hosted a evening with the cast and producers in New York City. Joanne Froggatt (Anna) stood out in a fuchsia frock from Ralph Lauren collection, while Michelle Dockery opted for a one-shoulder leather number, also by the designer.
On Friday, the stars promoted season three’s premiere at a party hosted by The Hollywood Reporter in LA. Rob James-Collier, noted one of the magazine’s writers, “seemed to be making a point of distancing himself from his polished, conniving, gay character Thomas.
“He looked decidedly more metrosexual Silver Lake than pre-Edwardian Yorkshire in a plaid shirt, khakis and Chuck Taylors. He mentioned his wife several times and also pointed out, in an ironically grandiose tone, that he was wearing a Ralph Lauren cardigan. ‘Good people wear cardigans,’ he joked during the panel discussion.”
Oh, Thomas. Do behave yourself.
Talk then turned to American television, and someone brought up that Two and A Half Men’s Angus T. Jones makes $300,000 per episode.
Froggatt let out a sigh and answered “no comment” when asked if Downton’s salary was comparable.
