German model turned actress, Diane Kruger, shows off her modeling skills in Interview magazine and chats with the publication about her experience filming Inglourious Basterds with fast-talking, movie-obsessed director, Quentin Tarantino.
As Diane tells it, Quentin is such a hands-on director, he insisted that it be his hands around the neck of Kruger’s character, Bridget von Hammersmark, during her strangulation scene.
According to Kruger, “So in the actual close-up of my death scene, those are his hands. It’s like, ‘Okay, are you trying to tell me something?’” She adds, “Quentin gets really obsessed with these female characters! My death scene was scheduled for one day, and we ended up shooting it for three. He didn’t want to let go of Bridget.”
