Diane Kruger seems to glow each and every time she steps in front of a camera. Tonight (February 9th), the German-born beauty walked the red carpet at the 62nd Annual Berlin International Film Festival at the Berlinale Palast in a beautifully designed number by Giambattista Valli‘s Spring 2012 collection.
Kruger, carrying a Judith Leiber clutch, was at the Palast to premiere her new movie, Farewell, My Queen on day one of the festival. Kruger plays Marie Antoinette in the French film about the Queen and one of her readers in the last days of the French Revolution.
Kruger said at a press conference that she found the role a bit of a challenge, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “A lot of people already have opinions of this historical figure. They have already judged her. I was trying not to judge her…We have the same origins, the same age. I could relate to her as a woman.”
