Diamond Jubilee Tour: Duchess Kate Has The Magic Touch [PHOTOS]
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge wore a fantastic piece from her go-to designer, Alexander McQueen for a royal engagement at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore. On her feet were those trusty Stuart Weitzman “Corkswoon” wedges we saw at the Olympics (PS-they’re currently on sale at Bloomingdales).
The Duchess was joined by her husband, Prince William, who is the unsung hero of this trip. We love Catherine to bits, but we’re proud of William for the leadership role he’s taken thus far on the Diamond Jubilee tour. Yesterday’s visit to the Botanic Garden was a poignant one, because it was the first time William viewed the orchid named for his late mother, who never had a chance to see the flower herself.
Catherine made to greet as many well-wishers as possible on the royal walkabout. School children were chanting, “Will is brill! Kate is great!” according to royal photographer, Mark Stewart and the Mirror’s royal report, Victoria Murphy.
Apparently William was asked the following: “If you were to have one superpower, what would it be?”
Will’s answer: To be invisible.”
The Daily Express’s royal reporter Richard Palmer tweeted from the Rolls Royce factory, “William made a speech praising Rolls-Royce. Kate has just pushed a lever to put the final fan blade in place and assemble the first engine.”
