Dear Recession, Even We Need Free Stuff. Sincerely, Famous People.

Wouldn’t it be nice to walk into a room and designers just throw free clothes and exclusive products your way? You just wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy and say to yourself, “Self, I think I need some new jewelry and silk pillowcases. Let’s go pick up some swag!”
Yes please.
At the Oscar weekend Red Cross Event hosted by The Silver Spoon, celebs got to take their pick of fabulous gifts from Perry Ellis, C&C California, watches from Skagen, silk bedding from KooKoon and environmental-friendly boxed wine from Bota. Apparently wine from a box is très chic now?
Keeping it classy, kids. All Day. Every Day.
The event was held at the swanky Interior Illusions in West Hollywood and people like Brittny Gastineau, Michael Rady, Candace Cameron, Beverly Mitchell, Stacy Kiebler, Geoff Stults, Kim Coles, Nicole Eggert, Melissa Rivers, Bobby Campo and my second fave celebrity stylist Phillip Bloch (Duh, Rachel Zoe is always #1) were seen scouring the products and making donations to the Red Cross in support of Haiti Relief.
And let’s talk for one second about how dreamy Michael Rady is from Melrose Place? I mean, let’s be honest, I don’t watch the show but basically drooled through all of his scenes in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. One product rep even admitted that she couldn’t stop sweating during their entire conversation because he was so handsome.
To my utter disappointment, Kostas (as I like to affectionately call him) is off the market and engaged to his college sweetheart, Rachael Kemery. (Insert aww’s and/or sobs here).
Michael’s adoration for me may by non-existent but there’s nothing that cheers a woman’s soul more than eco-friendly boxed wine and luscious facial cream. Excuse me while I ease away my sorrows in designer wear…
