Danell Levya was in 19th place after two less-than-stellar routines, but managed to make up for it in his last two events, the parallel bar and horizontal bar, and performed impressively enough to actually clinch bronze for Men’s All-Around gymnastics.
The gold ended up going to Kohei Uchimora of Japan, and the silver to Marcel Ngyuen of Germany, but Levya is proud of his performance. Levya boasted, “I did always love to prove everyone wrong. I’m always trying to prove people wrong and trying to be the best.”
Kinda arrogant there, aren’t you, Danell? Well, I guess he put his money where his mouth is, so I guess Levya’s getting the last laugh. Congrats, Danelll!
