The cast of my favorite show on television gathered together last night at the Leonard H. Goldenson Theater in North Hollywood for “Sony Pictures Television Hosts A Special Evening With ABC’s Happy Endings.” My sources tell me that the crowd was small, but the buzz was strong. If you’re not watching this show, I implore you to start watching.
Earlier in the month, Damon Wayans Jr.(who plays sassy, happily married Brad) told Zap2it that despite coming from a comedic family, DWJ’s dad was a strict disciplinarian. ”I crazy-glued my sister to the toilet seat when I was younger,” Wayans recalled. “I sat home alone, got really obsessed. Crazy glued my sister to the toilet. And we had to go to the hospital.”
When asked what the punishment was for such a crime, Wayans said again, “We had to go to the hospital.”
Thankfully, Wayans is at an age where he doesn’t have to fear the repercussions of his actions (“If he spanked me now, that’d be just weird,” Wayans said), but the ABC star did walk away with good piece of advice. Comedy is not brain surgery,” Wayans said. “Either it’s funny or it’s not. That’s what my dad told me. He said to do it. Just go for it.”
At last night’s event, New Hamphire’s own Eliza Coupe wore over $13,000 worth of jewelry – Kabana 18 K gold green malachite earrings ($1248) and matching necklace ($2160), Hellmuth 18 K rose gold diamond snake ring ($9644) and Isharya‘s moon bali extra wide cuff with freshwater white pearl ($424). You fancy, huh?
Happy Endings is moving from its current time slot (Wednesdays, 10pm) to Tuesdays, 9pm, going up against Fox’s New Girl.
