Dakota Fanning Hasn’t Screwed It Up (Yet)

July 8th, 2010 // 2 Comments

In the wake of Lindsay Lohan‘s sentence, Miley‘s slootish wardrobe and Vanessa‘s nudie pics, one would almost assume that once you hit sixteen you fall apart at the seams.  It hasn’t been the case for Dakota Fanning, Marie Claire‘s August cover girl.  The magazine was even clever enough to post pics and styles from her shoot (technology heyyyyyyyy).  No pressure, but the world is waiting for Fanning to screw up.  Luckily, she seems headed in the right direction (and probably has normal parents, since I’ve rarely heard anything about them).  Ain’t no doubt about it.  The sister has talent.

Fanning attends Campbell Hall in North Hollywood, the same private school where the Olsen twins matriculated.  She’s already a well-established actress at sixteen, most recently appearing as freakish child-vampire Jane in both The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Eclipse.   Fanning is composed, pretty, stylish, smart and will continue to make me feel bad about my underachieving ass.

Boo, you whore.

I’m just kidding.  Please don’t look at me with those red eyes.

Check out behind-the-scenes video from Fanning’s Marie Claire shoot after the jump.

word of advise for Dakota: see all the teen-and-twenty-something famous females (not including yourself), see why there are showing up on the cover of magazines like US, People and newsstand rags — don’t do any of that, you’ll be fine
