With the holidays quickly approaching, famous people all around the world are using their star power to spread good cheer. The nice silver lining to the glutinous, gratuitous time of year that is the Holiday Season. Charities and benefits everywhere are getting an influx of publicity and donations thanks to the endorsements from the good people of the entertainment industry. One such person using their power for good this week is pro soccer player and exceedingly handsome human, Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese soccer player enlisted the help of his Real Madrid club members in an initiative called “No Child Without A Toy At Christmas” that took place in Madrid, Spain at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. In attendance, apart from Ronaldo was the President of Real Madrid, Florentino Pérez who spoke during the event about the goals of the initative, saying “The power of sport puts Real Madrid in a strategic position to try to make the world less unjust and more united. Whatever happens, this club will always be loyal to their commitment to those less fortunate, especially children. Now, more than ever, we must put all our efforts into making sure that this Christmas no child is left without a toy.” The initiative has provided toys to over 2,000 children since it’s formulation.

After the President of the Real Madrid club and the President of the Community of Madrid (who Real Madrid partnered with to create the foundation) spoke on behalf of the club members in attendance, Pepe, Kaká, Sergio Llull and Rudy Fernández, the players passed out toys to all of the children at the event.

What a sweet thing to do for some of your younger, less fortunate fans, huh?
